Catholic Heritage

Catholic Heritage is explored on a visit to Washington, D.C. A tour of the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center, a multimedia educational facility and museum begins our visit. We later proceed to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the largest Roman Catholic Church in the United States, which houses the largest collection of  20th Century religious artwork.

Then we will tour the Franciscan Monastery which is reminiscent of the older European monasteries. Students will see the replica of the Catacombs of Rome and they will visit the beautiful gardens with over 40 acres of roses, azaleas, tulips and other magnificent flowers.
